Underneath is part of an ongoing series of small works that revolve around the journey across abstract landscapes. I repurposed an old book cover, where the glue patterns resembled rippling waves — an opening to bring in a snake motif. It is about subtractive rather than additive creation. The accompanying haiku, 'Foot in Deep', follows a Buddhist way of storytelling: meaning conveyed through minimal visual and textual elements.
